More Men Talking" arrived late last week. It is
another work of art and as good if not better than the
first book.I found myself laughing out loud! Bob M. |
"The book is all over the map and meanders through very funny to titillating to off-color to "gagme" gross."-Paul S. |
"If I had to find a phrase to describe your book, I would say it is a "montage of reality" - the serious prompters of in-depth thought....the knee-slapping comic phrases and sentences which, with laughter subsiding, the reader says "how true"....I love reading the sayings of humans. It is like being in a huge arena of folks sharing one by one a tidbit of their humanity. Life, love, fear, despair, nervousness, experimentation, feeling, hope, want, lack, spirit, pleasure, touch, separation, sex, anxiety. Each of us can add his own dimension as he/she meditates on both volumes of MEN TALK....awesome..."-Jack C. |
I found More Men Talk as brutally honest as the first volume, Men Talk. The statements by men are unadorned and unedited. That can make the reader gasp at times, as for example in some of the opinions about women, which could be considerd denigrating. At the same time the words are what these men think. There is also a range of opinion on many subjects, making the reading interesting. Also, while most of the men are straight, there are some gay men speaking too. In other words, Mr.Peterson has not edited out various statements in order to present a unified point of view that might be his own. He lets the men speak for themselves, and that's refreshing. Reading the book also makes me feel I'm listening in, or a part of, conversation in everyday places, a barber shop, on the street, at a bar, with a professional in his office, no tape recorder going to make men say what they think is expected. It's off the cuff, and certainly instructive considering what's on men's minds. Robert S.

Graphic and interesting. I was afraid to let my wife read it.- Mike S. |
The book is sick. And I would have gotten a hard on reading it, if I didn't have erectile dysfunction. Joe O. |
We have been having a quick flick thru the pages on our lunch hours and it's been bringing us to tears of laughter-Jessica (Rebel FM-Australia) |
Lou and I agree it's the best book ever written! This is the first book Lou has read cover to cover since Huck Finn in
high school!!-Ethan and Lou(I-95rock-Conneticut) |
The only people I can think of who would waste money buying this crap can't afford it because they are in jail. And for that matter, anyone who would find this book entertaining surely does not have the mental capacity to be able to read. Sadly, the author will have some success with this book given we live in a society of degenerates who think there is something "cool" about the shock factor involved-Fairlie (Australian radio show). |
Read the first book cover to cover and I laughed hard and screamed out loud! I can't believe what some guys said! There were so many sweet parts, and so many intense-dude parts. I loved the book. It was so honest. It was very cool. I couldn't put it down.-Sarah B. |
Ive been reading the books and Im pretty much KEEPING a hard on! VERY VERY erotic. Some pretty bold and "in your face", but I'm amazed at how much I relate to some of them! As you might guess, I particularly enjoy ALL the sexual ones, including the gay men. I've not experienced some of the things I read (bondage, scat, piss, etc) but I enjoy reading about them. The books are HOT. Been through them both, and back to the first one again.-Ken G. |
